FAQ

Click the questions below or use the search above.

How do I import a PDF into PDFCraft?

Open the Files app and tap a PDF → SharePDFCraft. Alternatively, in PDFCraft tap Import and select a PDF from “Files”.

How do I add a signature or text fields?

Open the document → choose Signature or Text → place the element using drag & drop. You can adjust the size and position later.

How do I export/share the finished PDF?

Tap Export → choose Share as PDF or Save to Files. On macOS, you can also export via the Share menu.

Why don’t I see my document in the list?

Check that you’re in the correct storage location (on-device vs. iCloud/Files). Use search, or import the PDF again via “Share → PDFCraft”.

Sync between iPhone, iPad, and Mac?

If you use iCloud Drive, save/export PDFs to an iCloud folder (Files app). Then they’ll be available on your devices (with the same Apple ID).

The app freezes / crashes — what can I do?

Restart the app, check for updates in the App Store, and make sure your device has enough free storage. Try a different PDF: some PDFs are corrupted or extremely large.

Is the signature “legally valid”?

It depends on the use case. Many documents accept simple electronic signatures. For stricter requirements (e.g., a qualified electronic signature), additional rules apply.

Troubleshooting (Quick Checks)

If something isn’t working, these steps often help right away.

1) Check for updates

Update iOS/iPadOS/macOS and update PDFCraft in the App Store.

2) Access to “Files” / storage locations

Make sure you have access in the Files app to the folder you want to import from (on-device or iCloud Drive).

3) The PDF is password-protected or corrupted

Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. Try a different PDF to rule out the file itself as the cause.

4) Very large PDFs

For extremely large documents, this often helps: split pages, free up storage, restart your device.

Note: When you contact support, please include your device (e.g., iPhone 15), OS version, and what exactly happened (steps + screenshot if possible).
